The Seminole Indians extended their postseason run Friday night, defeating the Glen Rose Tigers 39–27 to capture the Area Championship and advance to the Regional Semifinals of the Texas High School Football Playoffs.
Seminole’s offense was efficient and explosive, attacking Glen Rose with a balanced combination of passing and a dominant ground game.
Quarterback Dominick Higgins delivered one of his most accurate performances of the season, completing 21 of 26 passes (80.8%) for 168 yards and a touchdown, finishing with a 109.1 passer rating. His composure and consistency kept the chains moving and allowed the Seminole offense to control the tempo.
The rushing attack was the difference-maker. Seminole piled up 313 total rushing yards, overwhelming the Tigers’ defense:
Landen Guerra exploded for 154 yards on 16 carries (9.6 avg), including a 79-yard touchdown run, and finished with 2 total scores.
Caton Cramer added three touchdowns of his own, rushing 19 times for 91 yards.
Higgins contributed 54 rushing yards on designed keeps and scrambles, while Stephen Davis chipped in a 14-yard carry.
The offensive balance kept Glen Rose guessing all night, with Seminole using both speed and physicality to dictate the flow of the game.
Higgins spread the ball around effectively, connecting with six different receivers:
Logan McCormick led with 53 receiving yards on five catches.
Jaycen Robledo hauled in four receptions for 38 yards, including Higgins’ lone passing touchdown.
Cramer, Jordan Garcia, Guerra, and Davis all contributed key receptions that helped sustain drives.

With the Area Championship secured, Seminole now advances to face a familiar postseason opponent: the Brock Eagles.
