Seminole Indians Unveil 2026 Football Schedule; District Play Kicks Off October 9
SEMINOLE, TX – The Seminole Indians varsity football program has officially released its highly anticipated 2026 football schedule, promising a balanced and competitive slate of games that will test the Tribe from the season opener through district play.
Leading off the season on August 28, the Indians will host Bushland at Wigwam Stadium, kicking off a ten-game regular-season slate before entering district competition on October 9 against Fort Stockton — marking the start of what promises to be an intense district race in 2026.
“We’re excited for this season and the opportunities our schedule presents,” said Head Coach Greg Poynor. “From our season opener in August to district battles in October and beyond, this team is ready to compete and represent Seminole with pride.”

Sept. 4 – Shallowater (Todd Field)
Sept. 11 – West Plains (Happy State Bank Stadium)
Sept. 18 – Hereford (Wigwam Stadium)
Sept. 25 – El Paso Riverside (Riverside Stadium)
Oct. 9 – Fort Stockton (Wigwam Stadium) (First District Game)
Oct. 16 – Big Spring (Memorial Stadium)
Oct. 23 – Pecos (Wigwam Stadium)
Oct. 30 – Snyder (Wigwam Stadium)
Nov. 6 – Monahans (Estes Memorial Stadium)
District play officially begins with the October 9 clash against Fort Stockton, setting up key matchups through late October. The Tribe will then host Pecos and Snyder at home before closing out the regular season on the road against Monahans.

Coming off a strong 2025 season that saw the Indians finish with a 9–4 overall record and a deep playoff run, expectations are high in Seminole for another competitive campaign.
