Seven Seminole Seniors Earn 2026 All-State Honors, Take Next Steps at the Collegiate Level
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Indians football program continues to shine on the statewide stage, as seven senior players were named to the 2026 All-State teams, capping off an outstanding year for a veteran-led roster that combined talent, toughness, and leadership.
Earning 2nd Team All-State honors are Chase Elrod (OL), Logan McCormick (WR), and Austin Olivas (DB). Elrod was a cornerstone of the offensive line throughout his senior campaign and has officially signed with UTEP, taking his game to the Division I level. McCormick proved to be a dynamic playmaker in the passing game and has drawn significant attention from the next level, currently holding multiple Division II offers. Olivas anchored the Seminole secondary with discipline and athleticism and will continue both his academic and athletic career at Harvard University.
Named to the 3rd Team All-State are Caton Cramer (RB), Gabryl Alaniz (DL), Aaron Sigala (DL), and Ryan Werdenberg (LB). Cramer, a physical and dependable running back, has signed with Abilene Christian University, while Alaniz, a disruptive force along the defensive front, has committed to Mary Hardin–Baylor. Sigala and Werdenberg rounded out the All-State list with consistent, high-effort play on defense, serving as tone-setters for the Indians throughout the season.
With all seven honorees being seniors, the recognition underscores the impact of a class that helped define Seminole football during their time in the program. Beyond the accolades, their postseason success at the collegiate level reflects the strong foundation built within the Indians’ locker room.
“This senior group leaves behind a standard of excellence,” the Poynor said. “They represent Seminole football the right way — on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.”
As these seniors prepare to take the next step, Seminole football celebrates not only their All-State honors, but the lasting legacy they leave behind.
